Why a cooperative?

After building and maintaining a rather large web project for several years, the boys at Discus Rock started to recognize a rather significant dent in our wallets in addition to the hundreds of hours we had devoted over the years. This started us thinking, "Wouldn't it be great if we could build a family of Scouters all looking to benefit from inexpensive, reliable web space?"

With that in mind we built this cooperative. Our stated goal, create a space for Scouters to have simple and inexpensive web space.

Our only goal is to cover the expenses of maintaining a server on the internet. As you become a part of our project, we are able to distribute our costs and adjust our fees accordingly. Who can sign up?

This web service is reserved for sites related directly to the scouting movement worldwide. It is our intent to provide special opportunities for scout related programs that may not have the opportunity. So if you want to create a internet home for your favorite camp, or your local unit, or a resource page for anything related to scouts, this is the place.
